The Ministry of Human Capital extended the validity of the Social Accompaniment Program, created with the aim of promoting social inclusion and improving the living conditions of households with the highest degree of exclusion and social vulnerability, strengthening their family nucleus and the community in which they live. “It is established that the Social Accompaniment Program will have a validity of forty-eight (48) months, counted from the entry into force of Resolution No. 84/24 of the Ministry of Human Capital that approved its General and Operational Guidelines, subject to the availability of budgetary credit,” indicated in a report published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette. In the aforementioned document accessed by the Argentine News Agency, it was also pointed out that the main purpose of the Social Accompaniment Program is to improve the living conditions of people belonging to households in a situation of high social vulnerability. In addition, it was added: “According to official data published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), during the second half of 2024, 38.1% of the population was in a situation of poverty, a percentage that was reduced to 31.6% in the first half of 2025 and to 28.2% in the second half of 2025. The incidence of indigence decreased from 8.2% in the second half of 2024 to 6.9% in the first half of 2025 and to 6.3% in the second half of 2025)”. “In view of said favorable evolution, it is considered necessary to guarantee the continuity of the actions implemented within the framework of the Social Accompaniment Program, with the object of advancing in the promotion of inclusion and the improvement of the living conditions of those who are still in a situation of vulnerability; and additionally consolidate the processes of strengthening of the family nuclei that are in progress,” it was added. In addition, the report indicated: “The Social Accompaniment Program has contributed to mitigate factors of social exclusion, promoting gradual processes of integration and recovery of capacities, with a positive impact on the social stability of the population reached”.
